LEGO Coding and Robotics Workshop for Children
Next Step organized a coding and robotics workshop utilizing LEGO Robotics kits for children aged 9-11 years old. The 16 participating children (7 of whom were girls) got introduced to STE(A)M through fun, hands-on learning. They learned basic programming using block-based code, while exploring robotics with motors and sensors. Through building and coding projects, kids develop problem-solving and engineering skills. The workshop also encouraged creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking in an engaging and accessible way.

Next Step Hungary Association is a refugee-led non-profit NGO providing practical cost-effective interventions to support migrants’ integration in Hungary. By facilitating an increasingly diverse range of vocational and IT courses designed to build high value skill sets, we aim to help connect migrants to employment through a solution-oriented approach. Next Step encourages engagement with society by helping migrants access education, gain employment, support their children’s growth and sustain themselves and their families independently. Our members and former course participants remain highly engaged with our work, many returning to volunteer as instructors or contribute their time and develop our expertise.
