Empowering Financial Decisions with AI: The Future of Financial Literacy

During the All Digital Weeks 2025. will be organized  a dynamic 2 hour workshop “Empowering Financial Decisions with AI: The Future of Financial Literacy” designed to educate participants on the crucial role of financial literacy in today’s digital era and how AI models are revolutionizing personal finance, budgeting, and investment strategies.

The session begins with an engaging introduction, including a warm welcome and an icebreaker, setting the stage for discussions on why financial literacy is essential and how AI is reshaping financial decision-making. Participants will then dive into the fundamentals of financial literacy, covering key concepts such as income, expenses, budgeting, debt management, and investment basics, including stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies.

The workshop will then explore the role of AI in finance, explaining what AI models are and how they are integrated into banking, budgeting apps, robo-advisors, and fraud detection systems. Real-world case studies will highlight the impact of AI-powered financial tools.

A hands-on session will follow, where participants will interact with AI-driven budgeting tools like Mint and YNAB and AI-based investment advisors such as Wealthfront and Betterment. Through practical demonstrations and discussions, attendees will learn how AI can enhance financial decision-making.

As AI becomes increasingly influential in financial services, ethical considerations and biases must also be addressed. A dedicated session will examine data privacy concerns, biases in AI decision-making (e.g., loan approvals and credit scoring), and strategies for ensuring fairness and ethical standards in financial AI systems.

To reinforce learning, participants will engage in an interactive activity, using AI-powered tools to create budgets, simulate investments, and discuss AI-supported financial strategies. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session, where attendees can share insights, discuss AI’s future in finance, and receive key takeaways and resources for continued learning.

This workshop is designed for students, entrepreneurs, young professionals, and anyone eager to enhance their financial literacy and leverage AI for smarter financial decisions.
