Media literacy days through disinformation and digital footprint
This year at Secondary school Ivana Meštrovića Drniš, during the All Digital Weeks 2025., and Media Literacy Days 2025, we will learn more about digital footprints, disinformation, and algorithms.
A series of activities will be conducted in which older students will educate younger generations about digital footprints, disinformation, and algorithms and create the exhibition on the theme of European Parliament and digital footprint creation. All students in our school will be involved in these activities, with junior EPAS ambassadors responsible for implementation under the mentorship of their teacher Martina Jerković. They will creatively and interestingly conduct the following during homeroom and vocational subject classes:
– Lectures on the topic of disinformation
– Workshops using the Media and Information Literacy manual from the Media Literacy portal Croatia
– Creation of a creative exhibition of personal algorithm works on the topic of the European Parliament and digital footprint creation
The goal of these activities at school is to raise students’ awareness about the importance of understanding how to properly engage in the online environment, distinguish information from disinformation, and be mindful of How Much? and Where? we leave our digital footprint.
