Stendhapp: AI algorithms for cultural dissemination
Stendhapp is a digital platform, with website and app, dedicated to discovering the Beauty of the Territory. Aimed at cultural tourists, food and wine enthusiasts and those who are simply curious to discover original places, Stendhapp offers the possibility to explore the territory without having to consult a paper guide. Through the tool of geolocation, the app points out places and events around us, ranging from museums to castles, from locations mentioned in literature to ancient trees, from monuments to theaters, from art venues to Unesco sites, from fine buildings to food and wine excellences and historic stores, and much more.
During this short webinar, we will explore together what Stendhapp is and how it works. We will also delve into the concept of artificial intelligence and how its introduction can boost the enjoyment of the nation’s artistic and cultural heritage.

Stendhapp is a Startup Innovativa A Vocazione Sociale (SIAVS), a non-profit company which scope is to enhance Italy’s cultural heritage. We have created a digital platform, which includes a website, a webapp and two native apps to be used on mobile devices, where we have already mapped around 70,000 places throughout Italy. On the apps, the geolocalisation tool points out places and events around us where beauty takes shape: museums, castles, places mentioned in literature, ancient trees, monuments, theatres, places of art, Unesco sites, prestigious buildings, food and wine excellences, historical shops, and much more. One can select what they want to see on the map through 19 categories that define Beauty. Stendhapp is much more than the umpteenth app: it is a new tale of the territory. Through widespread culture, we encourage people to go in person and see with their own eyes the beauty they have chosen, and to share their favourite places with the entire community of users.
